One of the unique aspects of Gould Killian is our location in the heart of the South Slope Neighborhood in downtown Asheville. Our office is in the Sawyer Motor Building, built in 1926 and known as one of Asheville’s first automobile dealers in what was formerly the automotive district of Asheville. Many of the surrounding buildings, once home to auto repair and car dealers are part of a gritty, funky neighborhood that is now filled with craft breweries, distilleries and restaurants. The South Slope also contains a mural trail, done by local artists and is close to several music venues, the Orange Peel and the Grey Eagle, notable in their own right. This gives us the ability to be close to our clients, as well as be in a central location to Asheville. The area continues to evolve and many new amenities, such as downtown housing are being added everyday for a truly unique urban neighborhood. Although we are located in the city, we are close to many natural attractions like the French Broad River, which is only a 10 minute drive from our office, as well as many hiking trails and greenways.
