received his B.A. in accounting from St.
Francis College in 1967. He began his career
with Arthur Young & Co. in New York City. He
relocated to Asheville in 1971, helping to
form the firm Jacobs, Kledis and Gould, in
1973. Jeff
works mostly with individuals and small
corporations, providing advice on matters
ranging from management to tax planning. He is
also experienced in the community; Jeff has

Charles E. Killian
received his B.S. degree from UNC Chapel Hill
in 1966 and his MBA degree from the University
of West Florida in 1971. After a tour of duty
in the Navy, he began his accounting career
with Arthur Anderson and Co. in Charlotte,
joining Patton, Hunter and Company in 1976.
Chuck holds a specialty designation,
Accredited in Business Valuation, and is also
a Certified
Management Accountant. He has worked
extensively with construction companies,
business planning, and has provided valuation
and litigation support services for many
clients. Chuck has previously served as
President of the Asheville Area Chapter of NCACPA and as a member of the state NCACPA
board of directors and various professional
committees therein. He has also been active in
the local community with his involvement in
Rotary, the March of Dimes and various church
and school organizations.

Shon P. Norris
started with the firm as an intern in May 2000.
He received his bachelors degree from the University
of North Carolina at Asheville and his masters in
accounting from Western Carolina University. A
native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Shon was
recruited to play baseball for UNCA. After his
junior year there, Shon was drafted by the Boston
Red Sox organization, however Shon continued to work
on his degree during the offseason and graduated
with honors from UNCA.
Active in the community, Shon serves
as treasurer on the board of Asheville Hatchfest, as
board member of the Western Carolina Chapter of the
North Carolina Association of Certified Public
Accountants, and on the advisory boards for both the
UNCA accounting and managements department and the
WCU accounting department. Shon is also an
active member of the Asheville Downtown Rotary Club
and has recently served as treasurer on the board of
the North Carolina Stage Company.
Shon's practice focuses on income tax
planning and preparation for small businesses and
individuals. He has extensive experience in
the real estate, construction, and hospitality
industries. Shon has been the driving force
behind the firm's conversion to electronic
workpapers and other areas of technological
improvement.

K. Wayne Marshall
graduated from Western Kentucky State College

In 1990 he joined the firm of Patton, Hunter

taxes. Wayne is actively involved in the
Kiwanis Club and has served as the club’s
president. He has also been active in the
North Carolina Association of CPAs, having
served on the Board of Directors and chairing
several statewide committees. He is a
